Early this morning Mariah and I took Stella out for a walk. 

Stella is always happy to see the cows down the road.  Today the cows were happy to see her as too.

A sheep dog is typically a guard dog for farm animals.

Stella excellent at caring for children and animals. She is so very matronly. It is common to find her running around the farm as if she is the mother of all.

Often Stella adds to the safety of our Kennel.

During the night we can hear her bark if anything comes near the farm. We have had no predators on the farm since she came to Maine.
